Methodology
Short version: this page ties together how URIVIO researches, evaluates, scores and corrects the content we publish. Each step has its own detailed policy — this is the map.
1. Sourcing
We prioritise official vendor information — product pages, pricing pages, documentation and specifications — over secondary sources, and we label how confident we are in a given fact. Full detail: Sources Policy.
2. Reviewing
Every product page answers the same core questions: what it is, what it solves, who it’s for, who it isn’t for, what it does well and poorly, what it costs, what the alternatives are. We only claim hands-on testing when we’ve actually done it. Full detail: How We Review.
3. Comparing
Products are compared against criteria specific to their category, and every comparison explains the reasoning behind the result, not just the result itself. Full detail: How We Compare.
4. Scoring
Each category has its own weighted scoring model built from the attributes that matter for that category — there is no single formula applied everywhere, and commission rate is never part of it. Full detail: How We Score.
5. Editorial Independence
Our affiliate relationships fund the site; they don’t decide what we recommend. Full detail: Editorial Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.
6. Corrections
When something is wrong — a stale price, a discontinued product, a factual error — we fix it and say so. Full detail: Corrections Policy.
This methodology applies across every category we cover: software and SaaS, AI tools, hosting and infrastructure, marketing and SEO platforms, e-commerce tools, cybersecurity, cloud and developer platforms, and hardware.
